Didsbury in Bloom

I’ve just got back from a very enjoyable 3 hour “tour of Didsbury”, while the  Britain in Bloom judges visited numerous parts of the town to assess us for the award. Starting outside the Slug and Lettuce I met the 2 judges from the Royal Horticultural Society and we made our way from the Library, then down Warburton Street, around the streets in the Town centre through the “Didsbury Lanes”, Didsbury Park, the Old Parsonage Gardens and finally to Fletcher Moss Gardens.

Everyone involved in “bloom” has done a fantastic job and if we win the award it will be a great testament to the hard work and enthusiasm of a lot of local volunteers and Council officers. Anyone about in Didsbury today will have been impressed how good the town centre looks.

  1. Knowing that Fletcher Moss has been shown off to the RHS fills me with a sense of pride.

Those gardens mean so very much to me, so I must thank you for showing them to the Judges,

    kind regards

  2. didsbury looks spectacular. can the didsbury in bloom scheme be extended to the area around fog lane shops? it has really missed out and looks very shoddy in comparison.

  3. Can I have a word of suggestions? I’m confident youve got a thing amazing in excess of right here. But suppose you supplied some links to a website which supports what you’re? As well as you might offer us some further material to have a look at, a thing that will connect what you were mentioning, something way more concrete?
