Finally July is here and it appears to have bought the sun with it, and with this in mind there is the Beech Road Festival going on this weekend. This fantastic festival is now in its 14th year all thanks to the hard work and dedication of it’s organisers. It runs from 12 noon, with live music playing until 7pm for the adults and Unity Arts with their special brand of fun and music for the children. There will be lots of interesting stalls around the Park and on the Green, and at the Beech Pub you can listen to folk music with Les Jones and friends plus Amouse Bouche singing acapella. To add to this tomorrow night there will be more local bands at the Irish Club – tickets are available from Beech Road shops.
Also if you’re looking for something to do this Saturday day from 9am – 1pm there is a climbing wall outside the library in Didsbury to raise funds for St Catherine’s scouts to go to Sweden and the world Jamboree. Climbing is a great day for all the family and you can be sure that your children will be tired by the end of it as well as giving them the chance to try something new that doesn’t usually come to our constituency.
